NPG are an award winning independent production company specialising in producing both short and feature films. Made up of a collective of multi skilled filmmakers the company is driven by passion and creativity, with Sarah Jayne and Ivan being the two keys members.
For the production of Friends, Foes & Fireworks, NPG have enlisted a small crew to work along side them to make the film a reality. Meet the key crew below.
Ivan Malekin - direction & story outline
Ivan is the Founder and Director of the Made In Melbourne Film Festival, now in it's 8th year. He is the former lead editor and script writer at Switch International, a television production company dealing on global distribution of factual programming.
As a director, Ivan has a number of credits to his name for both feature and short film under the Nexus Production Group banner.
In 2014 Ivan was added to the Master List of Melbourne Independent Filmmakers compiled by veteran indie movie-maker Bill Mousoulis, and also selected for the 'Top 50 Australian Independent Film Heroes' list.
But his first love remains Nexus Production Group, his own independent film production outfit driven by creativity, originality, and passion.
sarah jayne - direction & story outline
Sarah Jayne has been a writer from since she could master a pencil and fell into filmmaking within an Art Department role back in 2006 with no idea what was expected from her. Immediately Sarah Jayne was addicted to the variety, creativity and all the little details her set designing and dressing role encompassed and only wanted to work on film sets.
In 2013 Sarah Jayne broadened her film-making horizons further; writing and directing Dusk, her first short film. What followed was Anniversary, Sarah Jayne's warm up piece before jumping into writing, directing and co- producing her biggest project - Daughter.
Stephen ramplin - camera
Stephen Ramplin is a Freelance DOP, cameraman and editor with over 10 years of industry experience. After starting off as a news cameraman and editor in regional Queensland, he has since worked on various films, commercials, music videos and broadcast television programs. He frequently works at Channel Nine, and on independent productions across Victoria.
Gerard mack - sound
Gerard Mack is a sound designer, music composer and music producer of film scores for feature film, short film corporate web, documentary and TVC. Gerard's studio, CACOPHONY, features 5.1 surround sounding GENELC monitors and specialises in audio post, music production, ADR, sound design, and audio restoration for video games, media and film and TV.
